Jennifer Adams

Jennifer Adams
Jennifer Adams graduated from LSU-Shreveport in December 1998 with a bachelor's degree in communications and public relations. She is currently employed with LSU Health Sciences Center Department of Neurosurgery as coordinator of public relations, information and publications. Adams is a graduate of the Shreveport Chamber's Leadership Program, past Shreveport Chamber diplomat, served as board member for the Mardi Gras Museum and editorial board for SB Magazine. She is a member of the Public Relations Society of America and Shreveport-Bossier Young Professionals.

Jeremy Alford
Jeremy Alford is an award-winning freelance journalist based in Baton Rouge, where he covers Louisiana politics for a statewide syndication network. His work has appeared in the New York Times and Dallas Morning News, as well as the Associated Press. In addition to reporting on gambling crimes for a History Channel special, Alford has previously appeared on Court TV as a source on the racketeering trial of former Gov. Edwin Edwards. Lou Burnett

Lou Gehrig Burnett
Lou Gehrig Burnett worked for 27 years as a congressional aide and spent two years as executive assistant to Shreveport Mayor Bo Williams. He publishes the "Fax-Net Update," is a panelist on "Dateline Shreveport," the political analyst for KTAL-TV, a guest host on the "Pat Culverhouse Show" and a columnist for Politicsla.com. In 2003 and 2005, his Forum column was awarded a first place by the Louisiana Press Association.

Marty Carlson

Marty Carlson
In addition to writing political columns for several publications in the area over the last 10 years, Carlson also worked in various capacities for the American National Red Cross and made a short foray into the teaching field. She presently splits her time as a legal assistant and writing for the Bossier-Press Tribune and "Fax-Net Update," as well as The Forum.

Charlie Cavell

Charlie Cavell
Charlie Cavell has an extensive background in sports, having worked at Centenary College, the Shreveport Captains, Louisiana Downs, University of Louisiana-Lafayette, Nicholls State and LSU. He has been a freelance writer for more than 20 years and has written sports articles and columns for numerous publications across the state. One of his true passions is calling sports action on the radio. Cavell is entering his 10th full season as the voice of the C.E. Byrd Yellow Jackets' football team. Cavell is a native of Lafayette and is married to the former Jennifer LeBlanc of Gretna. The couple has two children, Katelyn and Jacob.

Fred Cicetti
Fred Cicetti is a freelance writer who specializes in health. He has been writing professionally since 1963. Before he began freelancing, he was a reporter and columnist for three daily newspapers in New Jersey. He also has written two published novels.

   
Lane Crockett

Lane Crockett
Lane Crockett is from Ballinger, Texas. He graduated with a double major in journalism and history from Texas Tech University and was the entertainment editor for Tech's daily newspaper for three years. After graduation, he went into the Air Force for four years during the Vietnam War. In 1968, Crockett joined the staff at the Shreveport Journal and was the entertainment editor and theater/arts critic. In 1977, Crockett joined the staff at The Shreveport Times and was the entertainment writer and theater/arts critic there until he retired in 2004. While at The Times, the Gannett News Service syndicated Crockett as an entertainment writer about film and television for about 10 years.

June Dowas

June Rose Dowis
Writing is a constant joy for June Rose Dowis. After 10 years as a computer programmer, she now divides her time between freelance writing, working as a part-time librarian for Noel United Methodist Church and most importantly her husband, Ben, and two sons, Aaron and Alex. She serves as treasurer for the Shreveport Writers' Club and has been published in several magazines.

Deann Driver

Deann Driver
Deann Driver, a native of Shreveport, graduated from Louisiana State University in Shreveport with a bachelor of arts in English in 2006. She currently divides her time between working as a full-time employee at the Louisiana State Exhibit Museum in Shreveport and as a freelance writer for The Forum. She is also treasurer of the Louisiana State Archaeological Society Northwestern Chapter.
