Ford Flex
A step above the rest

Ford might have a winner with all of the attention the Flex received - at the library, at the shopping center and in my neighborhood.
The low-body profile has the design effect of a customized vehicle. Three rows of comfortable Flex seating await you and your passengers inside.
The clean, linear look and feel of the Flex begins up front with the signature Ford three-bar chrome grille and carries through to virtually every facet of Flex's bold, innovative design.
The four-deep grooves on the body sides are like character lines, setting the tone that sets the Flex apart.
The two-tone roof option helps you stand out from the ordinary crowd. If you're the kind of person who just can't get enough natural light, the multipanel vista roof option will definitely be on your list of must-have features. The vista roof consists of four skylights covering all three rows of occupants. A power moonroof sits over the first row. The second row has two openings. And a larger single skylight is over the third row.
Every Flex comes with first-row bucket seats, a second-row 60/40 split bench seat and a third-row 50/50 split bench seat for seven-passenger seating. Or go with a six-passenger arrangement by choosing the optional second-row 40/40 bucket seats, which offer an available center console with storage.
If you go with the available second-row 40/40 bucket seats, you can also get the optional rear console refrigeration. Unlike systems that just keep beverages cool, the compressor-driven unit in Flex can chill up to seven 12-ounce cans, four half-liter bottles or two 20-ounce bottles down to 41 degrees Fahrenheit. There's also a freeze mode that'll go down to 23 degrees Fahrenheit.
In a Flex, all the seat backs (except the driver's) fold flat to make it easier to accommodate whatever cargo you need to carry.
Flex provides several places to put your things: a first-row console with storage, integrated first- and second-row door storage pockets, map pockets behind the first-row seats, a lockable glove box and 10 cup- and bottle-holders, as well.
The 3.5-liter Duratec V6 that powers Flex features dual overhead cams activating four valves per cylinder with advanced variable-cam timing technology, generating 262 horsepower and 248 lb.-ft. of torque.
Engineers put Flex through extensive, wind tunnel testing - with wind speeds of up to 100 mph - to help pinpoint and silence even the smallest sources of noise. Flex is one quiet ride.
Flex quickens your heart rate but handles with cool. Its independent rear suspension soaks up bumps and potholes, while the advanced V6 and six-speed automatic transmission deliver responsive acceleration and enhanced fuel economy.
Flex offers available intelligent all-wheel drive. The beauty of all-wheel drive is it doesn't just react to wheel slippage when it occurs but anticipates it.
